Geneva, Switzerland - Filipino inventors, represented by the Department of Science and Technology - Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI), have achieved significant success at the 50th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva (IEIG), held from April 09 to 13, 2025, securing multiple prestigious awards.
The Philippine delegation showcased remarkable achievements, bringing home one Gold, three Silver, and one Bronze medal for their innovative technologies. This accomplishment highlights the Philippines’ growing strength in developing solutions for global challenges.
The winning inventions, supported by the DOST-TAPI’s Science and Technology Promotion for International Contest and Exhibits (SPICE) Program are:
PH Delegation: Gold Medal Winner
The Gold Award was proudly received by the invention named A System and Method for Managing Healthcare Services and Networks by Mr. Noel Gary Del Castillo, CEO and Founder of SeeYouDoc, Corp. This invention revolutionizes healthcare access by integrating telemedicine, scheduling, e-prescriptions, and payments, connecting patients and providers seamlessly for enhanced healthcare management.
PH Delegation: Silver Medal Winners
While the following innovation won silver awards, the DOST-Industrial Technology Development Institute's Continuous Screw Type Salt Washer, represented by DOST-ITDI’s Director, Dr. Annabelle Briones. An innovative mobile system that transforms raw salt into high-purity products directly at the production site, significantly reducing processing time, steps, and costs for local communities.
Similarly securing a silver medal is the Three-in-One Mobile Salt Crusher, Washer and Harvester Equipment, also from the DOST-ITDI represented by Mr. Oliver Evangelista, this efficient and affordable technology effectively removes impurities from salt, consistently meeting the stringent purity levels required by the food industry.
Another silver awardee is the Earth Board: Coir-reinforced Bio-Based High-Density Polyurethane Composite for Structural Panels represented by Mr. Kenno Michael Uy, CEO and Founder of Lesstics, Inc. This eco-friendly material, expertly crafted from coconut coir, offers superior insulation, strength, and moisture resistance, presenting a compelling green alternative to traditional construction materials.
PH Delegation: Bronze Medal Winner

The Bronze Award was given to HazardHunterPH: Systems and Methods in Conducting Multiple Single Hazard Assessment represented by Mabelline Cahulogan of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology - Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PHIVOLCS). Developed by the team of PHIVOLCS, this user-friendly tool provides instant hazard maps and comprehensive analysis for earthquakes, volcanoes, and other geological events, empowering communities and authorities with critical information for proactive disaster preparedness.
DOST-TAPI and its delegation’s presence at the IEIG is truly a reflection to the Philippines’ long commitment to cultivate a vibrant innovation ecosystem.
